Job Summary :
The Lead Library Specialist for Open Educational Resources (OER) and Digital Scholarship (OERDS) supports the Digital Publishing Librarian in managing the Libraries’ open access publishing program through Mavs Open Press. This position is responsible for coordinating publishing project timelines and workflows, communicating with faculty, staff, and student partners, and maintaining accessibility and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Under the supervision of the Digital Publishing Librarian, coordinates departmental efforts to ensure that all subcomponents for Mavs Open Press submissions (books and journals) progress through the publication workflow and adhere to designated timelines.
Coordinates data collection and assessment for strategic projects and departmental evaluation, including semesterly cost avoidance data and student satisfaction surveys.

Working Conditions :
This position may include non-traditional work hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the university community. UTA Libraries has various locations across campus.
