The Department of Medical Education at the Dell Medical School is seeking an Academic Program Coordinator - Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Purpose

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of CME with day-to-day training and work oversight provided by the CME program administrator and senior academic coordinator, this position supports the daily administration and workflow of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) office.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and criteria, Dell Medical School CME policies and procedures, and university procedures and regulations.

Support various clinical departments, activity directors, and activity coordinators with their CME activities as assigned.

Enter data into the CME tracking and reporting systems.

Procure data for reporting internally, to the accreditation body, and to the university Provost assemble reports.

Assist with contracts and payments as requested.

A ttend assigned trainings and workshops.

Participate in collaborative committee work within the Department of Medical Education.

Track expenditures and coordinate travel / reimbursement for CME team as necessary.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience coordinating or administering an academic program within higher education. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, technological proficiency in both desktop and server-based applications, a customer service orientation, and integrity.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in an academic medical setting. Familiarity with UT Austin policies and procedures. Familiarity with ACCME accreditation standards and criteria. Familiarity with PARS and CME tracker.

Salary Range

46,000-$55,000

Working Conditions

May work around standard office conditions

R epetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

O ccasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines

O ccasional interstate, intrastate and international travel

Employment Eligibility :

Retirement Plan Eligibility :

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
