Join the Facilities Operations and Maintenance team, a highly responsive and knowledgeable crew providing outstanding service for Facilities Services and to the university community.
Maintenance Operations, a branch of the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Division, provides comprehensive maintenance services in support of the University's operations.
Our teams provide a comprehensive array of qualified services, backed by our licensed and certified technicians, to this end, we offer opportunities for continuing education, as well as various stipends for additional trade licenses. Our team of trained trade experts are well-matched for the university's operational and maintenance needs, whether the facility is a brand new laboratory or our iconic Tower.

Purpose
Provide journey level technical skills associated with monitoring the campus wide Building Automation System (BAS) from a central campus control room. Evaluate the BAS alarms and determine a response and resolution. This position also serves as the after-hours call center for all campus maintenance issues and provides emergency dispatch of personnel.
Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Diploma (High School) or GED. Three years of experience with HVAC equipment and operation. Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel). Record information and communicate effectively. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. More than three years experience of the required qualifications. Experience at the University of Texas or in a university setting. Demonstrated excellent communication skills. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills. Experience in a Call Center environment. Experience with computerized service request systems. Professional demeanor. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the cultural and hierarchical variety of University community served. Proven ability to work with a team of multi-crafted trades people.
Salary Range
46,062 depending on qualifications
Additionally, this position is entitled to shift differential in the amount of $3,444 per year.

Employment Eligibility :
