Job Details:
This Dyslexia Interventionist position is a hybrid (remote and in-person) and serves the University of Texas-University Charter School and the University of Texas High School (UTHS). The position begins August 1, 2025 and is a 12-month State of Texas employment position. UT-UCS serves students in kindergarten through 12th grades and UTHS serves students in high school. Both districts follow all state and federal regulations for public school and special education services and part of the University of Texas at Austin's College of Education. The candidate selected for hire will be required to attend New Employee Orientation on July 28, 2025 in Austin, Texas.

Purpose
Serve as district-wide dyslexia support specialist for both the University of Texas-University Charter School (UT-UCS) and the University of Texas High School (UTHS).
Responsibilities- Provide dyslexia services
- Monitor dyslexia in-direct services
- Participate in ARD meetings for SPED/Dyslexia students
- Provide parent training for students with dyslexia
- Support campuses with ESL when ELA teacher is not certified
- Provide professional development on dyslexia and related disorders
Special Education EC-12, Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading EC-6, and Dyslexia training. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a non-traditional school setting with special needs students of varying abilities and interests. Maintain awareness and understanding of the role that trauma may play in the lives of our students. Proficiency in technology and technology applications to the level specified by the district. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. This position requires fingerprinting. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Salary Range$66,000 depending on qualifications
