Kinesiology and Health Education - Health Behavior & Health Education - Professi

The Department of Kinesiology in the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin periodically hires professional track full-time and part-time faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Behavior and Health Education. Courses may include introduction to health promotion, foundations in epidemiology, theories of health and social behavior, social determinants of health, research methods and evaluation, needs assessment, program planning, child and adolescent health, and human sexuality, among other courses. Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. Appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis, though sometimes a year-long appointment can be made. Salary and title are dependent upon responsibilities and qualifications. These are non-tenure track positions.

A master's degree is required; doctoral degree is preferred for all positions and required for graduate teaching assignments. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and a student-centered approach to teaching.
