Job Details:
General NotesThis position will end effective one year from start date. Subsequent annual renewal of employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding.
Purpose
Carry out research into biochemistry, synthetic biology, and protein and RNA engineering.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with organizing lab, including routine forms and approvals, ordering, and carrying out research into enzyme engineering.
Carry out research into modular, high-throughput assay development, and genetic circuit construction.
Compile, analyze and summarize data as needed for reports and for publication and dissemination.
Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience with cloning, mutagenesis, and protein expression.
Salary Range$38,000 depending on qualifications
