The Office of Information Technology at the Dell Medical School is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Software Developer.

Purpose

As a platform expert, the Senior ServiceNow Software Developer oversees the design, architecture, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions within the UT ServiceNow instance. This position leads technical planning and implementation of new features and collaborates with internal teams, the main campus ITS, and external vendors to gather requirements and ensure accuracy in development work.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements new applications, functionality and workflows.

  • Provides daily operational support and system monitoring.

  • Gathers and verifies requirements for new features, functionality and workflows.

  • Troubleshoots and debugs functionality and workflows.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with main campus ServiceNow development team.

  • Provides Tier 3 customer support.

  • Updates documentation and design documents.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field. 5 years of experience with ServiceNow and ITSM applications, including customization, customer support, ticket management, ITIL, scrum/agile development, business process automation and creating technical requirements. Experience gathering and documenting technical requirements from customers. Experience with ITIL practices and service management frameworks. Experience with scrum/agile development. Experience with business process automation.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with UT ServiceNow environment and other UT-specific processes and technologies.

Salary Range

$115,000 depending on qualifications
