What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Associate Director of Gift and Endowment Compliance, and working closely with other Institutional Advancement units, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that funds are utilized effectively to increase donor trust through drafting, oversight, maintenance, and compliance of endowments and gift agreements.
Overseeing donor agreements, you’ll ensure that the terms and conditions align with the University’s mission and donor requests. You’ll amend drafts, review, and edit for accuracy to ensure these documents comply with University, UT System, IRS, and Council for Aid and Support of Education (CASE) regulations. You will also ensure that IA has the proper documentation required for all gift and endowment funds.
You’ll be tasked with creating and maintaining endowment, gift fund, donor, and naming records in Raiser’s Edge (CRM) and FundMiner (Gift Management Tool). You will analyze donor, endowment and gift data utilizing Microsoft Excel. You will also become familiar with Peoplesoft, the university accounting system.
Providing a high level of customer service, you’ll communicate regularly and efficiently with internal and external customers and helping to develop strategies to meet their needs and/or better support them, always thriving to represent the Division of Institutional Advancement and the University in a positive and professional manner.
Essential Functions:
Coordinates donor and funding efforts, services, events, programs, etc. as assigned.

Impacts the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of the team through planning, organization, coordination, and occasional oversight.
Uses discretion to modify work practices and processes to achieve results and/or improve efficiency.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned; specific roles may have additional responsibilities due to the nature of the specific role/division/unit.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
and
Experience: 1 (one) year of related experience in legal compliance, accounting, and/or drafting agreements; and training to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a non-profit organization and/or higher education fundraising setting
Experience using a fundraising database (e.g. Raiser’s Edge/NXT)
Experience using PeopleSoft
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to learn and use institutional software systems
Advanced computer skills and demonstrated background in Internet-based research
