What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Coordinator-E position at University of Texas at El Paso?
Under limited supervision, provides coordinating services for the Computing Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institutions (CAHSI) to include managing CAHSI’s goals and activities for the Broadening Participation in Computing program, working with regional leads, and planning national convenings.
Essential Functions
Provides administrative support.
Develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving CAHSI goals, and coordinates evaluation activities.
Communicates with CAHSI regional Leads and Connectors.
Leads the planning and implementation of convenings and conferences, including travel scholarships, registrations, reimbursements, session organization, agenda, and other related tasks.
Represents CAHSI at meetings as needed.
Manages travel and budget transactions.
Arranges creation of documents and materials that follow organizational standards and branding.
Organizes special investigations, research studies, and documentation for annual reports.
Ensures that the CAHSI website and external posts for social media remain current.
Coordinates, monitors, and evaluates compliance of policies and procedures.
Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of student assistants.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
and
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of computer science and extensive experience in event planning.
