We are seeking a motivated and passionate MS Graduate Student Candidate with a background of Biology or Ecology to study Microbial Bioinformatics and Environmental Microbiology. Responsibilities :
- Conduct research in microbial bioinformatics and environmental microbiology, focusing on the analysis of complex microbiological and environmental data sets.
- Assist to prepare and teach microbiology laboratory of senior college students.
- Learn and develop algorithms using R or Python for data processing and analysis.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design experiments that integrate molecular biology techniques with computational methods.
- Maintain accurate documentation of research findings and methodologies.
- Present research results at meetings and contribute to scientific publications.

The successful applicant will be offered two years of assistantships ($21,000 plus tuition waiver (~$8,000) per year). The selected student will start the program in the Fall of 2025.
