Essential Functions
The Registrar is to provide leadership and oversight for the development, implementation, and management of activities and systems related to academic records, student registration, and academic scheduling. Develops and implements academic policies regarding student records. Manages the student record database, distributes all formal academic information and records, and ensures the security and integrity of academic records. Prepares semester and examination schedules; makes academic room assignments. Certifies candidate eligibility for graduation and provides degree audits to advisors and students. Provides institutional research for institutional, federal, and accrediting reports. Supervises office and staff. Works closely with administration, faculty, staff, and students; serves on key committees.
1. Monitor degree audits of rising seniors and notify them and their academic advisors of graduation status prior to registration for senior year and monitor same through remaining semesters and alert students to problems as they arise.
2. Advise students, faculty, and parents on academic policies/issues as requested. Supervise office use of the data collection system.
3. Recommend and participate in the development, implementation and changes to university policies, processes
and procedures regarding student registration and records. Ensure changes are communicated to the University community.
4. Interpret and enforce academic rules and regulations, monitor academic standing, enrollment and graduation certifications, academic records, exceptions/waivers and reporting. Work with the Information Technology
Office to resolve problems and streamline processes.
5. Develop, implement and maintain systems used for core business functions to include course maintenance, class scheduling, registration, grades, records, reporting and data management. Work with Information
Technologies on upgrades, testing and coordinating solutions and corrective actions. Provides training on system as needed.
6. Prepare semester schedules in consultation with department chairs and supervise room assignments.
7. Supervise pre-registration, drop/add, declaration of pass/fail and audit, and maintenance of all registration programs in cooperation with admissions and business office.
8. Supervise maintenance and accuracy of all student records including posting majors, minors, advisors, intended graduation dates, etc.
9. Supervise the transcript request and enrollment verification services. Supervise mid-term and end-of-term
grade processing.
10. Within legal limitations and college policy, make records available and accessible to students, faculty, advisors and other authorized college personnel.
11. Certify students for graduation, honors, class standing; supervise other commencement responsibilities.
Supervise archiving of records through microfilm.
12. Evaluate transcripts of students applying for admission with advanced standing; approve and process all requests by matriculated students to take courses off-campus.
13. Supervise process to readmit students to the College.
14. Prepare annual budget recommendations and monitor throughout the year.
15. Interview, hire, and supervise professional and clerical staff.
16. Generation of reports and statistical data as requested, internal and external.

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Three (3) years of professional experience in a registrar’s office
3. Four (4) years of leadership/supervisory experience in Registrar's office
4. Demonstrated understanding of the application of technology to deliver records and registration services.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree
2. Record of demonstrated result driven experience with a strong record of achievement.

Schedule
Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.
Standard Working Conditions
1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
