The University of the Cumberlands is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member for the associate degree Nursing program. The candidate will report to the Chair of the Forcht School of Nursing.
Job Responsibilities: The associate degree Nursing Faculty will have responsibilities in the following areas:
- Collaborate with Program Coordinator to interview and assign faculty to courses.
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator on an academic assessment plan including measures and reporting of data.
- Participate in curriculum review and achievement of program outcomes.
- Collaborate with Program Coordinator to maintain rigor and consistency within the nursing program.
- Assist the Program Coordinator in the achievement and maintenance of ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accreditation standards.
- Promote the growth of the ADN program.
- Maintain a faculty course load according to the University faculty load policy (clinical time will be factored into course load).
- Collaborate with Program Coordinator on reports and budget needs.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
- Hold in-person office hours at the Williamsburg campus a minimum of two days per week.
Job Requirements:
The candidate should:
- Hold a Master of Science degree in the field of Nursing or be willing to enroll and complete within five years (doctorate preferred)
- Hold a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
- Have a minimum of two years of experience within the last five years as a licensed Registered Nurse
- Minimum of two years of experience in the area taught (ex. Obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health) or continuing education as appropriate for courses taught
- Demonstrate a history of employee excellence.
- Experience in marketing and supervision strongly preferred.
