Roesch Library seeks candidates for a generalist position to provide research support and contribute across the work of the Teaching, Research, and Engagement division. Typical hours are 9a – 5p M-F, occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
The position will provide research assistance for students, faculty, and the broader University of Dayton community. It will answer research questions at point of need, conducting scheduled and drop-in research consultations across modalities including in-person, Zoom, phone, and IM / Chat.
Additionally, the position will provide support for maintaining and updating library research guides, tutorials, and resources. The position will also assist with scheduling of and support to research, shifts, classes, programs, etc.
As part of the library Teaching, Research, and Engagement Division, the research assistant will provide ongoing research support and contribute to the work of the division.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree;
Library experience,
Proficiency with Google or Microsoft or similar office tools including spreadsheets, email and calendar
Preferred Qualifications
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following :
Experience working in an academic library
