Position Summary
The Admissions Events Manager is responsible for the development and execution of admissions recruitment events, to include New Student Orientation, Cardinal Preview Day, and other Admissions events which provide information and assistance to students and families about the University. The Admissions Events Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Campus Events.
Note that this position requires traveling as part of standard duties, approximately 25% of the time. Travel is primarily local.

Description Of Job Duties
- Hires, trains and supervises student leaders for daily campus tours, group tours and orientations.
- Collaborates with leadership in training student assistants and student tour guides. Assists with maintaining Student Training Guides and Standard Office Operating Procedures.
- Works with leadership to ensure accept packets are prepared appropriately for newly accepted students to the University.
- Supports leadership via regular meetings with student leaders to ensure updates to processes are communicated and implemented.
Description Of Job Duties
- Communicates regularly with university stakeholders regarding admissions event planning and operation.
- Ensures appropriate communications are sent out regarding orientation and events, and collaborates with the Digital Strategy and Marketing team regarding surveys and event attendance follow up.
- Monitors Campus Visit and Orientation email accounts and responds to all correspondence in a timely manner.
- Manages data entry, event registration and attendance lists, and Outlook events calendar for events via various platforms.
- Acts as a liaison with IT to support technological needs for sessions, workshops, and presentations at events.
- Supervises use and maintenance of computer equipment utilized by students and guests in the UIW Welcome Center.
- Communicates with Digital Strategy and Marketing to ensure UIW recruiting materials are sufficiently stocked for events and special projects.

- Helps the Assistant Director with on-campus recruiting events such as Cardinal Preview Day, Cardinal Overnighter, Scholarship Celebration, New Student Orientation, and other events designed to promote the university and reach enrollment goals.
- Assist with off-campus events locally, as well as assigned events within the state of Texas.
- Assists in the coordination and facilitation of on-campus group tours with schools, districts, and other university departments.
- Works with Admissions leadership to evaluate and assess programming, processes, and events for effectiveness, student engagement and enrollment yields.
- Secures and assists with the management of student staff at on-campus events, as well as UIW Commencement ceremonies.
- Supports the Assistant at event planning and production meetings.
- Manage event supply storage both on and off campus.

Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Work Experience
- Two (2) years of relevant professional experience working with students in higher education.
- One (1) year of professional experience in event coordination/planning of large events.
- One (1) year of experience supervising or leading teams in projects or events.
- Three (3) years of experience working in higher education setting working with students and families.
- Two (2) years of experience supervising or leading teams in projects.
- Valid driver license with “Real ID” designation, as required for air travel, or ability to obtain by first day of employment.
- Must have a driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW .

- Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 20 lbs. of admissions and event materials.

- Ability to travel by vehicle or plane. Note that travel requires use of personal vehicle for local travel and UIW vehicle for out of town travel.
