Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Campus Engagement is responsible for
advancing student development by creating and implementing campus programs; supporting student clubs and organizations; providing oversight of the Campus Activities Board and Greek Life system; and assisting with the planning and delivery of other student development and leadership initiatives. Supervision, Advising and Training
Description of Job Duties
- Supervise assigned campus engagement graduate assistants.
- Recruit, hire, train, advise and develop the Campus Activities Board team of student leaders.
- Oversee the administration of and serve as a resource to existing and new student organizations in collaboration with Student Government Association.
- Assist leadership with the supervision of Team Red — Campus Engagement student employees.
- Assist in developing and facilitating student leadership training and opportunities.

Description of Job Duties
- Serve as the primary liaison and/or advisor to the Greek individual chapters and related committees.
- Serve as an advisor/liaison internally and externally for Greek Life and related matters, including working with national and regional Greek organizations’ leadership offices, councils and boards.
- Design, execute, and assess a variety of student leadership programs including the Greek Point System and other required programs.
- Regularly meet with Greek individual chapters to assess needs and develop strategies to assist student leaders in addressing recognized needs including recruitment, retention, engagement, leadership development and event planning and risk management.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders in the planning and implementation of special programs including, but not limited to Homecoming, Greek Week, Welcome Weeks, Cultural Celebrations, Family Weekend, etc…

- Assist with publishing assigned Campus Engagement and university-related flyers on the Student Engagement Center digital marketing screens.
- Provide oversight of departmental social media accounts.
- Plan and execute assigned programming efforts (large-scale, small-scale and virtual) for UIW community.
- Collaborate with various departments to host specialized events and programs for UIW Community.

- Strong communication, organization, and planning skills.
- Ability to assess student programs and utilize the data to make decisions.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook or related.

- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Work Experience
- Five (5) years of professional experience in student activities or other related area in Student Affairs. Note that experience in this field as a graduate assistant will be considered.
- Two (2) years of team leadership or supervisory experience in this field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education, or related area.
- Experience in fraternity and sorority advising, and leadership.

Work Hours
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed to include weekend hours, especially in the planning and execution of events, to meet departmental goals.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs for table set-up/tear-down at events.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve event materials.
- Ability to push/pull event carts holding up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
- Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, potential/current students, and vendors as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
