Position Summary
Orientation Leaders play a vital role in assisting new students at UIW with their transition to life at the University. OLs provide information about campus resources, help new students navigate campus, and share the mission with all incoming Cardinals. Orientation Leader reports to Assistant Director of Campus Events.
Essential Functions
- Walk students and families to various offices around campus.
- Assist with set up and tear down of orientation events.
- Meet, greet, and mingle with new students, parents, and guests.
- Answer repetitive questions while maintaining a friendly and customer service attitude.
- Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education
Must be enrolled at UIW for Fall 2025 semester.
Required Work Experience
Previous customer service experience.

None.
Work Hours
- 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on training days.
- 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on orientation days.
Physical Demands
Must be able to conduct a walking tour of campus (often walking for up to one hour), stand for extended periods of time, lift around 20-25 pounds, withstand summer weather conditions.
