Position Summary
The Part Time Reference/Liaison Librarian is a professional educator who works with our existing team of librarians to provide discipline specific co-curricular instruction and support to undergraduate, graduate students and faculty in assigned academic disciplines. Position works closely with other librarians and staff to provide reference and research support to all patrons and with faculty in developing and delivering appropriate information literacy instruction. The Part-Time Reference & Liaison Librarian reports to the Director of Public Services.

Description Of Job Duties
- Provides high level reference and research consultation to students and faculty.
- Consults with individuals one-on-one and in groups.
- Provides this support in all modalities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Develops and teaches information literacy and other meta-literacy instruction.
- Works with the instruction and assessment coordinator to identify appropriate assessments and report outcomes as directed.

- Collaborates with faculty to develop instructional materials and set course objectives for classes offered in the curriculum.
- Works with faculty in identifying appropriate learning objects and with open educational resources.

- Promotes library services, resources and facilities through scheduled outreach events.
- Also promotes library services, resources and facilities in standard interactions with library patrons.

- Helps to manage the Mabee Library assuring access to resources and services during assigned reference desk hours.
- Helps to enforce policy and maintain an environment conducive to study.
