Job Description:
Under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Can assist the radiologist in interventional procedures. Serves as an ambassador of UTMC in the community, demonstrating our organization’s values, services and mission.

Education/experience/licensing
1. Demonstrates clinical competency in caring of patients as identified in department’s Scope of Care.
2. Demonstrates competency in the care of the patient in the following stages of the life cycle: infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics, as well as special population needs.
3. Effectively responds to customer service needs.
a. Demonstrates effective age and culturally appropriate interaction with patients, families and other member of the health care team.
b. Adheres to UTMC’s Customer Service values and iCare Standards.
c. Seeks out ways to assist patients and co-workers.
4. Actively participates in performance improvement activities as related to job duties.
5. Responsible for compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
6. Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school.
7. ARRT Radiography Registered with current ODH licensure.
8. CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
