The IT Hardware Installer's primary responsibility is to deliver and install technology assets in support of clinical, financial and related data systems and infrastructure for the desktop end-users. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations.
  • Determines user needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems.
  • Serves as primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff.
  • Installs and configures all IT related hardware including, PC's, thin clients, monitors, laptops, laser and label printers.
  • Installs and configures software applications on IT hardware.
  • Schedules installation appointments with users and schedules projects.
  • Reassigns assets in Altiris to correct user, location, and status.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft OS and software and computer functions.
  • Good driving record required to drive company van.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of system design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in the various desktop operating system environments and basic desktop application suites, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and email.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated human relations and communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in service.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalency.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience that includes help desk support, systems and business analysis, customer support and systems support efforts on all aspects of end-user systems.

  • This position involves intermediate working conditions in a healthcare setting that may exert up to 80 pounds and may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects.
