Job Summary

As part of the Executive Education team at The David Eccles School of Business, you will actively seek out new clients, foster long-term partnerships, and contribute to the expansion of non-degree programs, conferences, and custom projects. This role is ideal for someone eager to take ownership of sales efforts, engage with decision-makers, and make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role.
- Strong cold outreach experience, including cold calling, networking, and prospecting.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, and industry engagement.
- Develop and execute strategies to build relationships with local businesses and organizations.
- Actively seek out new clients, follow up on leads, and cultivate a strong sales pipeline.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Lead outreach efforts, including cold calling, prospecting, and client engagement.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and recommending tailored solutions.
- Support the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including proposal creation and client negotiations.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business leaders, HR teams, and key decision-makers.
- Regularly engage with potential and current clients to understand their evolving needs.
- Represent Executive Education at networking events, industry conferences, and professional gatherings.
Technology & Analytics:
- Utilize CRM tools like Salesforce to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and document client interactions.
- Leverage analytics to identify trends, assess performance, and refine outreach strategies.
Market Trends & Competitive Insights:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and industry challenges.
- Provide insights to enhance program offerings and improve sales strategies.
- Work closely with marketing to refine messaging and positioning.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) with 2-4 years sales experience applicable to assigned University department. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Depending upon department of assignment, preference may be given for a background in hospitality, marketing, communications, public relations, or athletics.
