What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heart Failure Cardiologist (Assistant/Associate Professor) position at University of Vermont Health Network?
Position: Assistant/Associate Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Cardiology
- Training in general cardiology and cardiac imaging
- Interest or training in the care of patients with advanced heart failure
Responsibilities:
- Provide ambulatory and inpatient cardiovascular care within the University of Vermont Health Network
- Interpret noninvasive studies, including stress tests and echocardiograms
- Conduct ambulatory clinic sessions
- Offer inpatient cardiology care and consultation at the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC)
- Participate in teaching efforts (10% effort), including the education of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Engage in appropriate hospital, departmental, or University service activities
Call Schedule:
- 2-3 weekday nights per month
- 2-3 weekends per year
