SUMMARY:
The Member Service Representative (MSR) provides professional, courteous, service to the members, opening new accounts/certificates/IRAs. A qualified MSR maintains knowledge on all credit union products and services and current promotions to actively cross sell/making referrals when appropriate. They will maintain relationships to strengthen the member's financial wellness and support other operations to provide back-up as needed. A qualified MSR consistently displays teamwork, reliability, adaptability, and good judgment while meeting personal goals and satisfying members’ financial needs.
The position is tiered into levels I, II, & III. Placement within the tiers is based on experience within the role, and compensation is discretionary based on prior experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
· Ensure Members are promptly and professionally served
· Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems
· Actively educate and refer Members to resources available within the Credit Union
· Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of one to three years of experience in a related field. A college degree may be considered in lieu of experience
- Placement within Tier I, II, or III of the position is related to prior experience.
- Exceptional communication skills
- Approachable and friendly
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills
- A college degree is preferred, but not required. Related work experience may substitute for education
