Our Environmental Services department has multiple opportunities open for temporary full-time (100% FTE) HOSPITAL CUSTODIANS! These positions are benefits-eligible and anticipated to be up to 12 months in duration.
WORK SCHEDULE
We are looking to fill:
Temporary Day shift positions: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Temporary Evening shift positions: 3:00pm-11:30pm and 5:00pm-1:30am
Temporary Night shift positions: 11:00pm-7:30am
POSITION HIGHTLIGHTS
Under general supervision, the individual in this role will maintain cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure.
Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant.
Empties/relines wastebaskets, regulated medical waste containers, and recycle containers.
Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure.
Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors.
Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure.
Vacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractors.
Follows written and/or verbal instructions regarding the use of chemicals, personal protective apparel, supplies, and equipment.
Sets up, moves, and takes down equipment and furniture and transports items to be repaired.
Reports the need for repair and/or maintenance of furniture or equipment.
