TITLE: IT Financial Analyst Sr.
JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the Information Technology (IT) divisional financial planning and management, including capital planning, operational budget planning, IT project resource planning, total project costing, contract and licenses management and reconciliation, and annual and multi-year hardware and software projections. Recommend, develop, and implement financial management policies and procedures for the Information Technology (IT) division.
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
HOURS OF WORK: Typically, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
REPORTS TO: Chief Information Officer
PREREQUISITES:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
Minimum of five years relevant experience and financial knowledge in a business setting with an emphasis on information technology, capital and operations accounting, required. Prefer five to seven years of health care experience.
Experience with multimillion-dollar budget, budget development, and budget reporting.
Experience with contract initiation, reconciliation, renewal and billing, project costs and tracking.
Requires proficiency with computers and various software programs including Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated good organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical skills to effectively interpret data.
An ability to perform special project work with a minimum of direction.
Flexibility and manageability of multiple demands within tight time constraints.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Responsibilities and Competencies:
Recommend, develop and implement financial management policies and procedures for the IT division, within the overall organizational framework; to include capital planning, budget planning and management, project resource planning and costing, annual and multi-year hardware and software budget projections, contract reconciliation, total project costing, etc.
Use accounting principles to determine Software Based IT Agreement (SBITA), vs. non-SBITA subscription contracts.
Responsible for maintaining IT maintenance contracts, license subscriptions renewal and termination. Ensure contracts comply with contract terms and conditions.
Reconcile project reports within, ERP system, compares budget to actual and help prepare variance reports for leaders.
Perform research and analysis to provide management with financial data and recommendations for use in setting and realizing IT objectives.
Create and submit requisitions and non-PO invoices for IT purchased services and reconcile vendor statements for missing invoices.
Evaluate financial alternatives and proposals and recommend appropriate action.
Use enterprise systems (network, financial, purchasing, project management, time keeping) effectively as needed to perform job.
May provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.
Back up to executive administrative role and hardware procurement specialist.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and leadership.
Support and enhance excellent customer service.
Demonstrate sound knowledge base in decision making.
Promote a positive image of VMC and IT within both the hospital and the community at large.
Demonstrate self-responsibility and professional development.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Performs backup services to division timekeeper.
Tracks capital labor as related to capital project(s).
Provides ad-hos financial report(s) as requested.
