Description
Responsibilities include:
- Teach a course load of 4 undergraduate courses per term in the area of elementary education.
- Teach other eligible courses as needed.
- Fulfill other faculty responsibilities, including conducting scholarly research and participating in University and community service and service to other schools.
- Perform other tasks as required by the appropriate administrators.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Earned Doctorate Degree in Elementary Education or in a related field, with at least 18 graduate hours in the field.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, administration, and public school personnel.
- Commitment to quality teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in applying technology to teaching.
- At least three full years of successful teaching experience in a P-12 school.
- Three full years of professional educational work experience teaching mathematics in grade levels K-5 (requirement based on the Numeracy Act.)
Desired:
- Evidence of scholarly research and grant writing.
- Successful teaching experience
