The University of West Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Soccer Coach. This is a full-time position. The selected candidate will be responsible for the operation of all facets of a successful Division II Men’s Soccer program. Duties include, but are not limited to: effective teaching, coaching, and student-athlete development; recruiting, retaining, and graduating student-athletes; timely planning of and working within a balanced budget; scheduling and conducting practices and competitions; planning game schedules in compliance with the NCAA Division II procedures; staff supervision; community engagement activities; alumni engagement; and fundraising initiatives. The position will interact with various constituency groups, both internal and external to the University.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in physical education or related field.
- Proven recruiting experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability and desire to motivate student-athletes to succeed academically.
- Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, coaching staff, students, and alumni.
- Teach VA213.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
Desired:
- College coaching and recruiting experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Master’s Degree or other advanced education.
