The University of West Georgia Tanner Health System School of Nursing strives for “educational excellence in a caring environment” with over 550 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. Designated as a Center of Excellence by the National League for Nursing, SON instructional facilities are state of the art including spectacular lab and simulation spaces in Carrollton and Newnan. Undergraduate programs include a pre-licensure BSN program and a 100% online RN to BSN program. Graduate programs, recognized for 9 consecutive years by US News and World Report, are also online including a MSN program (Nurse Educator Track or Health Systems Leadership Track with an option for the AACN Clinical Nurse Leader Role), as well as an innovative EdD in Nursing Education program.
Position Description and Qualifications: Nursing academic-year faculty appointments available. Nurses in all clinical specialty areas are sought including nurse practitioners and those with backgrounds in informatics, nursing education, and nursing leadership. Responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate teaching in online and traditional classroom settings; simulation, laboratory and clinical instruction; and scholarly productivity in a supportive environment. Applicants must have an active RN license (or eligible) to practice nursing in the state of Georgia (eNLC).
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience, ability to work with diverse populations of students. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
