Print Production Specialist

The Print Production Specialist operates digital printing and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials, adhering to project specifications and deadlines. Responsibilities include setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting print equipment, managing multiple print jobs, and handling wideformat printing and installation projects such as banners and signage. The role requires collaboration with team members to ensure efficient production processes, performing quality checks for accuracy and consistency, and providing excellent customer service. Additional duties include inventory management, maintaining a clean work environment, and participating in ongoing training to stay updated on industry trends and technologies. This is not a design position.

Operate digital printing and finishing production equipment to produce a variety of printed materials, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project specifications. Interpret written and verbal instructions to produce work that meets customer expectations and department standards. Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of printing equipment. Manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines. Handle wide-format printing and installation projects, including banners, posters, and signage. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production processes.

Perform quality checks on printed materials to ensure consistency and accuracy, watching for printing issues, finishing defects, correct finishing, quantities, and confirm material match requested order placed by customer. Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with print products.

Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols and guidelines.

Assist in other areas of the department as needed to meet prescribed deadlines and other duties as assigned. Participate in regular training and development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and technologies.

Educational Requirements
High School / GED

Required Experience
Two or more years of experience in digital and/or offset printing and finishing, or related commercial print shop printing & finishing, and/or wide-format production, finishing and installation, and/or bulk mail processing and package handling. Current and relevant experience in graphic arts and/or marketing and/or direct/bulk mail processing and regulations. Familiarity with graphic design and production software and systems.

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelors Degree

Preferred Experience
Four or more years of direct experience in the operation of digital and/or offset printing and finishing equipment, and/or related print shop experience, and/or mail processing. Experience operating an HP Indigo sheet fed press. Knowledge of print production scheduling.

$19.61-$23.07 Hourly. Paid on a Bi-Weekly Basis.

ABILITIES
Physical Requirements: Hazards - Include a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals. Lifting - up to 20lbs or greater
Office Environment - Work normally performed in a typical interior work environment. Outdoor Environment - Work outdoors and
may not be protected from weather conditions.
