Description : Work Schedule : 90% FTE salaried position; This is a 0.9 FTE position scheduled to typically work Monday through Friday, with core hours between 7 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm, however some off hours or weekends may be required. - Facilitate and conduct the initial onboarding and continued professional development of nursing staff, with a focus in the operating room (OR) / intraoperative area.
- Curriculum and program development to support the multi-specialty intraoperative patients at the East Madison Hospital within the surgical services service line. This will include collaboration across departments.
- Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational programs.
- Participate in the promotion and delivery of new house wide initiatives.
- Provide expertise and resources in the area of support; three years of surgical services including intra-operative nursing is highly preferred.NursingAt UW Health, you will have :

- RN-Nursing Educator : Bachelor of Science-Nursing degree (BSN) and Must obtain Master's degree in Nursing in relevant specialty within five (5) years of start date in this position. Required
- Nursing Education Specialist : Master's Degree in Nursing RequiredWork Experience
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience with position specific patient population Preferred
- 3 years of experience providing orientation and education for nursing staff in clinical setting Preferred
- Relevant experience in primary and specialty clinic settings for NES candidates working in ambulatory areas PreferredLicenses & Certifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
