Assistant Professor - Clinical Psychology (Tenure Track)

Position Summary

The Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of clinical / counseling psychology to begin August 25, 2025. The department is home to a vibrant community of 23 full-time faculty who share a commitment to excellence in teaching, robust mentorship of undergraduate students, and who value and uphold diversity and varied perspectives. We seek a colleague who will be a dedicated teacher, active scholar willing to incorporate undergraduate students into their research program and an engaged member of the department and the university. We are seeking a colleague with an expertise in clinical / counseling psychology, with a preference for an individual who has experience teaching cultural topics.

Candidates should have completed or be near completing a doctorate degree in psychology or a closely related field by August 2025. Doctorate degree must be earned by the end of the first academic year. Academic year salaries are competitive with excellent fringe benefits and insurance programs. Required Qualifications

• Doctorate in psychology or related field. ABDs near completion will be considered; however, the degree must be earned by the end of the first academic year
• Expertise in clinical / counseling psychology
• Evidence of the ability to teach and advise undergraduate students
• Evidence of a program of scholarship that can be maintained at UWL
