Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Job Summary:

Wisconsin Women's Basketball is looking for an experienced Assistant Coach to join the team! This individual should bring coaching experience, strong leadership and communication skills with a unique ability to foster team competitive success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student-athletes.

Responsibilities:

Major Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, assist with the responsibilities of a Division I Women's Basketball program in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations.

Areas of responsibility may include:

• Recruiting prospective student-athletes: 20%
• Organizing and conducting practices: 20%
• Scouting opponents and creating game plans: 20%
• Develop student-athlete skills to maximize performance: 10%
• Developing and executing player conditioning plans: 10%
• Performance of administrative and public relations duties: 10%
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach: 10%

• Minimum three (3) years of successful coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level

• Excellent communication skills to work with student-athletes, other coaches, and administrators; knowledge of and experience with NCAA and Big Ten rules.

Additional Information:

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Limited appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
