The Dean of Students Office within the Division of Student Affairs supports students’ success and well-being. This office leads several functions, including student support and crisis response, campus behavior intervention and support teams, student emergency grants, tuition appeals, student grievances and complaints, academic and non-academic misconduct disciplinary processes, Clery compliance, and more. The Dean of Students Office collaborates with campus and community partners to promote a healthy, safe, and inclusive learning community.
Job Summary
The Case Manager reports to the Coordinator of Student Support & Case Management. This position meets with students in distress to coordinate resources and interventions. This position works collaboratively with students, families, staff, faculty, and community partners to support students’ well-being. This position is also a member of the University’s Student Support Team. This position leads trainings and programs that support students’ well-being.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
- 1 year of full-time experience in student affairs, advising, student advocacy, human services, social work, counseling, psychology, or related area. (NOTE: 1 year of a graduate assistantship will be considered 0.5 year of full-time experience in evaluating this qualification)
- Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience successfully managing a large and diverse caseload.
- Experience with campus behavioral interventions and crisis response within a university setting.
- Experience using person/student-centered, asset-based approaches to addressing complex personal challenges.
- Demonstrated understanding of issues, theories, and practices related to poverty, mental health, equity, and inclusion, and student success.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others, take initiative, prioritize, and successfully manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
