School/College/Division Description
The Dean of Students Office within the Division of Student Affairs supports students’ success and well-being. This office leads several functions, including student support and crisis response, campus behavior intervention and support teams, student emergency grants, tuition appeals, student grievances and complaints, academic and non-academic misconduct disciplinary processes, Clery compliance, and more. The Dean of Students Office collaborates with campus and community partners to promote a healthy, safe, and inclusive learning community.
Job Summary
The Student Support & Case Management Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean of Students and is responsible for oversight of the student support operation within the Dean of Students Office including supervision of 2-3 case managers, assigning cases and managing caseloads, and developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs to support student well-being. This position chairs the university Student Support Team and works collaboratively with students, families, staff, faculty, and community partners. This position also meets with students in distress to coordinate resources and interventions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
  • Three (3) or more years of full-time experience in student affairs, advising, student advocacy, human services, social work, counseling, psychology, or related area
  • One (1) year or more of experience as a supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Evidence of experience successfully managing a large and diverse caseload.
  • Experience with campus behavioral interventions or crisis response within a university setting.
  • Experience using person/student-centered, asset-based approaches to addressing complex personal challenges.
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues, theories, and practices related to poverty, mental health, equity, and inclusion, and student success.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to present to varied audiences.
Target Salary Range $64,000 - $68,000 Benefits and Total Rewards
