Visiting Lecturer, IC036, Full-Time: 100%, Instructional Academic Staff, Terminal, 9-month appointment 2025-2026 academic year, one vacancy
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health & Human Performance Department at the University of Wisconsin-Superior offers multiple bachelor¿s degree programs in health-related fields, including two prominent programs in exercise science and public health. UW-Superior¿s exercise science and public health programs provide the knowledge and skills to prepare students for a successful career in a variety of health-related and wellness-focused settings. The programs also lay the groundwork for entrance into graduate school for careers in exercise physiology, athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, public health and many other health-related careers. The successful candidate in this position will likely teach courses in anatomy and physiology, physical assessment, and introductory-level health and wellness, in addition to other courses, as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
- Instruction of 12 credits or their equivalent per semester in HHP/HLTH courses, both online and in the classroom.
- Engage in departmental, university, and community service.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with university employees, school districts, and community partners.
Other Duties:
- Complete required trainings and professional development as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Earned master's degree in Exercise Science, Health Sciences, Health Education, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching courses in exercise science, health sciences, health education, or related field; or minimum of 1 year of education experience in a healthcare or community setting.
This position is currently ineligible for H1-B sponsorship. A qualification for this position includes independent eligibility to work within the United States upon hire date.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- 1-2 years of classroom instruction at a university level.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to continued professional development in best practices in teaching, learning, including use of online and alternative delivery methods.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salary range for this position is: $50,000 - $52,000 annually. Specific benefit information can be found here. A snapshot of benefits offered for this position include:

UW-Superior, A Superior Place:
