The Paper Science and Chemical Engineering department houses two majors: Paper Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering, both of which are accredited by ABET. The department is in the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The College supports premier undergraduate natural resource programs with disciplines in Fisheries and Water Resources, Forestry, Environment and Society, Soil and Waste Resources, Wildlife Ecology, and the Department of Paper Science and Chemical Engineering. JOB DETAILS:
Position Summary
The College of Natural Resources (CNR) has a full-time laboratory staff (100%) position available in the Department of Paper Science and Engineering. The Process Control Lab Specialist is responsible for maintaining and upkeep of laboratory equipment and assistant with instruction in laboratory experiments. Experience in and desire to work with diverse populations of learners and stakeholders are required.
Shift: 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor¿s degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of two years experience in process control equipment and instrumentation
- Demonstrated experience with lab equipment and instrumentation
- Experience with providing instruction related to lab equipment and instrumentation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor¿s degree in engineering with a minimum of three years experience in process control equipment and instrumentation
- Strong commitment to student success

Terms of Employment
This is an Academic Staff annual appointment, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
