DATABASE DEVELOPER Wyoming Natural Diversity Database (University of Wyoming)The WYNDD Database Developer advances the mission of the WYNDD Information Systems and Services (ISS) team by managing, optimizing, and enhancing the functionality of WYNDDs central database.

This includes developing procedures, workflows, and automation to improve database performance and ensure efficient interactions for both internal and external stakeholders.Primary areas of responsibility include designing, testing, and implementing updates to database structures, procedures, and functions; establishing and maintaining database standards through documented workflows to ensure quality, reliability, and consistency of data services; and assessing and addressing database security, privacy, and integrity concerns.
Regular and productive interaction with the WYNDD ISS team, and other WYNDD personnel, is essential.
Minimum qualifications are a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
A valid drivers license with a motor vehicle record compliant with UW policy is recommended.The WYNDD Database Developer is expected to reside in or near Laramie, Wyoming, and maintain an office in the WYNDD suite on the University of Wyoming campus.
Some degree of remote work-from-home will be allowed.
Starting salary will be $73,500
