JOB TITLE:
School of Energy Resources Finance Assistant
JOB PURPOSE:
The School of Energy Resources (SER) at the University of Wyoming (UW) is dedicated to energy-driven economic development for the State of Wyoming. Created in 2006, SER enhances the university's energy-related education, research, and outreach. SER directs and integrates cutting edge energy research and academic programs at UW and bridges academics and industry through targeted outreach programs. JFNTMP
This position exists to provide financial support services as needed for SER.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconcile employee procurement card purchases.
Complete interdepartmental transfers.
Initiate purchase requisitions.
Place orders.
Produce and interpret financial reports.
Assist with tracking federal grant spending.
Utilize software including Oracle, QuickBooks, ROAMWyo, and Banner.
Help train Faculty and Staff on the use of UW’s financial system, WyoCloud.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Other accounting tasks as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current UW student.
Working towards a degree in Business, Accounting, and Finance.
Pass required background check.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with QuickBooks and Oracle’s WyoCloud Financial Management System.
