JOB TITLE : Assistant Lecturer
JOB PURPOSE :
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wyoming seeks outstanding applicants for an Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Instructional Professor appointment, starting no later than August 19, 2025. This is a full-time, 9-month benefited position at the University of Wyoming campus in Laramie, WY. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching commensurate with experience, and enthusiasm to teach undergraduate students effectively. This position is open to applications from candidates with all mechanical engineering teaching focus areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The responsibilities of the position include :
- Teaching undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional development, including participation in state and national professional organizations
- Service to the Department, College, and University, including advising and working closely with student groups
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY :
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

The MESE department resides within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS), which includes 10 departments and the newly formed School of Computing.
