About the Role:
This position involves on-call status and may require working during emergency closures and winter closure based on job duties and reasons for closure.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in livestock research feedlot, including daily feeding, health checks, and feedlot maintenance.
- Manage production cow-calf herd, including calving, branding, grazing management, processing, and vaccination.
- Use feed management software and perform data entry tasks.
- Oversee testing facility and maintain feeding data.
- Record-keeping and reporting of animal health, feeding, and inventory data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an Ag-related field or equivalent combination of experience.
- 2 years of work-related experience.
- Valid driver's license with a MVR compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
- CDL or willingness to attain.
- Wyoming Commercial Pesticide Applicator's license or willingness to attain.
- BQA certification.
