JOB TITLE : Video Editor
JOB PURPOSE :
Edit content for a broadcast-style news program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assemble raw footage in preparation for inputting into a broadcast format.
- Input uncut rushes and sound; synchronize and store them onto Student Media’s warehouse and broadcast platforms.
- Digitally cut files and prepare the sequence of the broadcast.
- Create a rough cut of the program / film to utilize in determining the final product.
- Oversee the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing.
- Write voiceovers or commentary for the reporters as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY :
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate to be available to work on campus.
