University Orthopaedic Associates - A Division of OrthoNJ (UOA), provides comprehensive orthopedic care and rehabilitation services. Our board-certified, subspecialty-trained surgeons offer advanced treatment in a wide range of areas, including sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, trauma care, hand and upper extremity surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and spine surgery.
We're seeking an LPN or RN to join our dynamic team. This full-time role involves floating between our convenient Avenel, Morganville, and Wall locations.
To qualify, you must be a state licensed LPN or RN. A minimum of one (1) year of previous orthopedic nursing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities: LPN/ RN will assist the Physician, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants in various aspects of patients’ medical treatment and care. LPN or RN will maintain the exam rooms and equipment and ensure the orderly flow of the physician’s patient schedule.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting area to the exam room; prepares patient for their examination or treatment; obtains pertinent medical information from patient
- Assist physician in the removal & application of casts, change dressings, remove staples & sutures, & ultrasound machines
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms; maintain clean treatment areas and exam rooms
- Responds to & triages incoming telephone calls; instructs patient and family regarding treatment
- Performs patient education when appropriate
- Replenish supplies in stock rooms and pharmaceutical supplies and samples as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality; adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Keep medical records in accordance with procedures and forms
