University Orthopaedic Associates - A Division of OrthoNJ (UOA), provides comprehensive orthopedic care and rehabilitation services. Our board-certified, subspecialty-trained surgeons offer advanced treatment in a wide range of areas, including sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, trauma care, hand and upper extremity surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and spine surgery.
UOA’s Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Excellence is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist for our Somerset Rehab Center to join our dynamic team!

Qualifications:
- A valid New Jersey Physical Therapy License
- Physical Therapy degree from an accredited University
- One (1) or more years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Flexible schedule with required rotating evenings and alternating day scheduling
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively explain treatment plans to patients
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- The ability to pay close attention to the patient’s progress and be detail oriented
- Knowledge of EMR systems, a benefit, but not required
- Outpatient orthopaedic setting experience, a benefit, but not required
Key Responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
- 1-hour patient evaluations with 30-minute follow-up with UOA patients
- Help patients regain mobility, strength, and function through therapeutic exercises and activities
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for managing their conditions and preventing further injury
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans
- Provides timely written documentation per facility and department requirements
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
