We are a veterinary hospital in Granger, IN dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets in our community. Our team of veterinarians and support staff emphasize preventative care, and offer a wide range of treatments and surgical care to our patients. We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team!
Job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Providing compassionate care and assistance to animals under the supervision of a veterinarian
- Performing various veterinary procedures such as administering medications and vaccines, taking radiographs, and assisting with surgeries
- Monitoring and record vital signs of animals, including temperature, heart rate, and respiration
- Assisting with laboratory tests and procedures, including collecting samples and performing diagnostic tests
- Performing dental cleaning procedures, including oral radiographs
- Cleaning and sanitizing animal enclosures, exam rooms, and equipment
- Educating pet owners on proper animal care and provide guidance on preventive measures
- Assisting with the handling and restraint of animals during examinations and treatments and maintaining accurate medical records
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology
- Valid license in Indiana (or a plan to obtain IN license)
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and protocols
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and colleagues
