This Analyst position will support a new multi-family platform affiliated with University Partners & KKR, focused primarily on multifamily residential assets, rather than student properties. The analyst will support the asset management function with portfolio and market analysis, financial modeling, and daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting, this person may also assist in analysis and underwriting of multi-family housing investment opportunities.

The analyst will support the asset management function with portfolio and market analysis, financial modeling, and daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting, this person may also assist in analysis and underwriting of multi-family housing investment opportunities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The Analyst will assist the asset management team in all aspects of institutional best practice initiatives:
- Assist with asset management process by performing document control, physical and financial due diligence, verifying, and establishing projections or other duties as assigned
- Support team with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial performance review and reporting
- Prepare, populate, and update market surveys and property occupancy reporting
- Perform financial analysis of assets via financial modeling, analysis of cash flows, analysis of return and project sensitivities, and application of valuation methods using Microsoft Excel
- Make informed decisions regarding modeling assumptions while maintaining the ability to logically defend and present said assumptions
- Participate in standing calls and interact with JV partners, property management teams and onsite staff as needed to obtain information
- Shop comparable properties while maintaining detailed notes
- Complete asset management projects on an ad hoc basis, including both portfolio and asset-level analyses
- Sales Comp tracking – pull down sales data from various data sources/organize & maintain
- Development Pipeline tracking – maintain and keep up to date all investment opportunities in key target markets
- Periodic travel required
- 1-3 years’ related experience in commercial real estate
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from four-year college or university
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial modeling, particularly using MS Excel
- Proactive and positive demeanor
- Capable of managing multiple reporting and analysis tasks with accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (preferred)
- Experience with Entrata or equivalent property management software (preferred)
