UT Urgent Care Clinics has provided medical care for acute illnesses and minor injuries to Knoxville, TN and surrounding counties since 2007. UT Urgent Care is seeking experienced, well qualified PRN Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) for our Knoxville and surrounding county locations. Must be a team-player and comfortable working in a fast-pace urgent care environment.
A successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties but not limited to:
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families during visit, by demonstrating sensitivity to patients’ comfort and privacy.
- Accurately records patient history, complete patient vitals, retrieves basic condition of patient and reports to appropriate practitioner.
- Assists provider with examination, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, such as: apply splints and wound dressings, collect and record various laboratory tests, administer oral and injectable medication.

Salary Description:
- $17.00/hr - $21.00/hr
- Dependent on experience
- Up to $2.00 per hour shift differential

Requirements
- 12-, 9- & 6-hour shifts, including ability to work weekends (no overnights)

Education:
- Requirement of GED or Higher School Diploma
- AEMT certification required
- 6 months to 1-year previous medical experience working as medical assistant or AEMT
