In operation for more than 50 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for 10 affiliated regional healthcare centers and for our own 24 medical imaging centers. In addition, University Radiology serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 1.8 million radiology procedures per year providing 24 / 7 / 365 coverage / interpretation services.
The purpose of the Data Entry Coordinator is to ensure all pre authorization requests are up to date and entered into ARV accurately. Assists with front desk operations in low volume office location.
Monday - Friday 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM
Responsibilities
- Enters high volume authorization requests received from referring providers for URG authorization submission
- Scans all received documents into MI and / or Royal system
- Inputs information from referring physician's offices to Royal portal to process authorization requests
- Communicates via telephone with referring physicians offices for information needed to complete authorization requests, provides feedback on status on an authorization if required
- Inputs patient data and authorization information into MI
- Follows up on all email communications regarding status of authorizations
- Confirms insurance eligibility of patient and follows up as necessary
- Check-in patient(s) as they present in office for their scheduled exam via Royal and / or MI.
- Maintains job performance standards consistent with established productivity & quality metrics
- Contributes to team effort. This includes performing other related tasks as needed
