Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive sleep studies, including polysomnography and other diagnostic evaluations.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure comfort throughout the study.
- Perform physical examinations and assess patients' medical histories relevant to sleep disorders.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop appropriate treatment plans based on study results.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data and study results for analysis.
- Educate patients about sleep disorders and treatment options available.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy relevant to sleep studies.
- Understanding of physiology, particularly as it relates to sleep patterns and disorders.
- Experience or training in respiratory therapy is a plus.
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs.
- Familiarity with the operations of a sleep center and its equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
