Univest Financial Corporation, a leading financial institution with approximately $7.9 billion in assets and $5.0 billion in assets under management and supervision, is seeking a skilled Loan Participations Officer to join its Deposit and Item Operations Team in Souderton, PA.

As a Loan Participations Officer, you will serve as a key liaison between participating bank representatives, internal commercial banking teams, and borrowers to facilitate seamless onboarding processes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for participating bank relationships, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Manage loan participation portfolios, originating and participating banks, with a focus on workflow optimization and timely completion of tasks.
- Analyze current processes to identify areas for improvement, developing fact-based recommendations for best practices.
- Compile and distribute statistical reports to the Director of Bank Operations, providing strategic evaluations of data to inform efficiency improvements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive procedures to reinforce bank policies, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and support to other Loan Operations teams, fostering teamwork and growth opportunities.
- Lead new team member onboarding, leveraging expertise to develop a knowledgeable and proficient team.
- Ensure accurate final loan packages are boarded, funded, and filed in accordance with audit and bank policy, as well as any applicable regulatory requirements.
- Account for all payments, fees, and interest due, ensuring all entries reconcile and accounts are in balance with participating banks.
- Responsible for accurate processing of all participation, syndication, and related loan transactions and settlements, servicing facilities including but not limited to payments, fees, modifications, and renewals.
Requirements
- 3-5 years finance, loan operations, or commercial lending experience, or equivalent required related education.
- Detailed understanding of loan and banking products and services.
- Advanced understanding of financial accounting concepts.
- Experience reading complex loan contracts, with the ability to comprehend each document, discern inconsistencies and errors, and provide resolution.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task, prioritizing to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Jack Henry, Salesforce, nCino or equivalent banking systems.
What We Offer
A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience, as well as benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
