Content Management at TelevisaUnivision is seeking a Media Transmission & Acquisition Coordinator to join our team!
The Media Transmission & Acquisition Coordinator will be proficient in transmission solutions and technologies, with a strong skillset in streaming digital operations. This role supports all TelevisaUnivision entities, including News, Sports, Entertainment, Streaming platforms, and Affiliates, in their acquisition, transmission, and streaming needs. The coordinator will work closely with Engineering, Media Managers, the streaming team, and control room crews.
ABOUT YOU:
The ideal candidate must be available to support 24x7 operations. This includes regular hours, on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed, sometimes without advance notice. Additionally, candidates may be required to work on-site for extended periods during special circumstances, such as tropical storms or hurricanes.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
- Support workflows and logistics on all digital and social media platforms
- Coordinate live interviews across all platforms (digital, social media)
- Manage acquisition and transmission requests using scheduling systems
- Arrange for ad-hoc bandwidth via satellite and fibers
- Assign in-house technology for feed requests (satellite dishes, receivers, frame sync, servers)
- Set up recordings and QC feeds
- Establish communication with field crews and vendors
- Establish and switch outbound feeds for distribution
- Support workflows and logistics on linear, digital, and social media platforms
- Troubleshoot and provide support for clients and vendors as needed
YOU HAVE:
- Associate’s degree in Television Production or higher, or equivalent work experience preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in transmission operations or a similar on-air facility
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Strong understanding of video, satellite, RF, and fiber signal fundamentals
- Comfortable using highly technical and automated systems and computer skills
- Self-starter who can juggle multiple projects and perform well under pressure and breaking news situations
- Excellent organizational skills and be able to work collaboratively and under deadlines
- Basic Avid editing skills with an awareness of media management
