What are the responsibilities and job description for the Show Director position at Univision?
The Show Director will oversee the various aspects of the show and coordinate all elements associated with the broadcast of live soccer events and/or TV Shows. The Show Director will report to the Director of Production Operations.

- Call and direct live or taped multi camera shows and/or Live Events.
- Serve as the technical director for shows when needed or merited.
- Use iNEWS (Newsroom Computer System) to create and edit the rundown.
- Oversee and facilitate production elements, including graphics, music, and all other related presentation elements.
- Coordinates and communicate all technical and staging requirements to the production crew.
- Manage control room and technical crew which consists of directing the crew; conducting performance reviews, advise on proper goal setting and providing on-going performance feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Communications or related field and 3 years’ experience in production/directing live programs.
- Experience in Live Sporting Events.
- Knowledge of equipment utilized in production, TV studio and control room.
- Able to make quick decisions and give accurate and clear instructions.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Comfort using highly technical systems including Grass Valley switchers, Calrec Audio, VizRT systems, playback devices (Avid Airspeed, EVS), INEWS Newsroom Computer System.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and live event situations.
- Attend pre-production meetings and calls.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
- Employees will be expected to commit to a specific schedule in the time period indicated.
- As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane.
